SPECSVISION OMD systems utilize the “light scattering method” of detection.The first receiver (reference sensor) receives light that has survived absorption, the second receiver (scattered IR sensor), which is located at a distance from the light path, receives light that is scattered from oil mist particles. The intensity of light emission and the location of the receiving sensors are optimized for the best signal characteristics and accuracy.
